I’ve converted to using boosters!
Even though I’m a little nervous about the box reeking of their baby scent and have no idea where I’m going to put them once they arrive, I am very much looking forward to receiving my Bambino Quadro boosters from UPS tomorrow. Apparently, it’s just one of those things that you don’t know what you’ve got until it’s gone. I had never even considered boosters as a worthwhile investment until I read this blog post by Adrian Surley over at iheartdiapers.com, as a case of boosters costs about as much as a case of diapers. In my mind, prior to really giving Bambino’s boosters a shot, boosting meant spending twice as much money to maintain my fetish, something I wasn’t quite willing to do.
When I ordered my first case of diapers from Bambino Diapers, I received one sample each of their Duo and Quadro boosters. I’m sure I tried them, as they were free and it would have been a waste to just throw them out, but I don’t have any recollection of the experience. As I’ve previously mentioned, I recently ordered a bag of thirty Quadro Boosters. I didn’t realize this then, but it’s become clear as day in the week since I ran out how awesome they truly are. Wearing diapers without boosters is suddenly less enjoyable. Plus, while on the go yesterday I didn’t feel as secure as I would have felt had I been able to wear boosters with my diapers. It hit me like a ton of bricks yesterday after I left the movie theater and wet myself. I didn’t mind the idea of a soggy diaper, but leaking was a concern as I knew I was about to flood it. At home it would have been no big deal, but I didn’t bring a change of clothes so on the go it became a concern that could have easily been put to rest using a booster of some sort. I’d considered double-diapering, but I didn’t know how that would go, as I have only ever done that with attends.
I’m also kind of excited because boosters, at least for now, become a way to keep things fresh for me. It makes me a little more conscious that I’m wearing a diaper and I’m glad of that. It’s well worth the extra $.57 per diaper that I wear and I look forward to only having to order a case of boosters for every two and a half cases of diapers I order.
I definitely think I will be boosting whenever I’m in diapers from now own, as it just adds extra comfort and security, and feels a slight more babyish, particularly once they’ve swelled when wet.
I agree with Ms. Surley. If you’re thinking about trying boosters, I recommend getting at least a thirty-day supply, as it’ll give you a better idea of the extra padding they provide, how much more your diaper will hold with as opposed to without the booster and, with any luck, like my first real experience with boosters, they’ll add some spice into what can sometimes be just an ordinary day in diapers.
